Quinta Beira Mar

Quinta Beira-Mar is a spacious B&B in a stunning location right by the beach on the beautiful Sintra coast-line. The area is a surfing hot-spot with lovely sandy beaches and the wild Atlantic ocean. We are within walking distance of three local beaches, one of which is Praia Grande where surfing and bodyboard championships are held every year.

We are situated within a UNESCO natural park at the foot of the Sintra mountains, a beautiful place for walking or cycling and exploring the local villages such as Azenhas do Mar set into the rocks of a cliff and Colares an ancient village famous for wine-making. We are only 15 mins from the historic city of Sintra and a local tram can take you to its magical castles and palaces. We are only 45mins from Lisbon, and Cascais and Estoril are also close by.

The house offers spacious rooms with balconies and views of the sea and mountains. There are extensive gardens with abundant flowers, shrubs and palm trees, a swimming pool, BBQ area, large dining area and sitting room, satellite tv and Wifi internet. We are a small farm with dog, chickens and ducks and you can also enjoy fresh eggs from the chickens for breakfast!

Other local activities include golf at a wide selection of courses such as Penha Longa, Quinta da Marinha, Beloura or Estoril, horse-riding, tennis, mountain biking and wine-tasting.

There are many local cafes, bars and restaurants offering excellent Portuguese cuisine and wine, especially fresh fish and sea-food and local markets packed with fresh local fruit and vegetables.
