Quinta da Tapada

Staying at our Quinta should be really special for you. We are able to help you and take care of you in English, Dutch, German, Portuguese and French.

Our property is about 1,3 Ha. Situated outside the village of Lamas Ferreira d´Aves. You ´ll find several attractive things. A playground for Petanque and a granite tennis table under the old Oak trees. In our village you’ll find several traditional restaurants, all situated within 10 minutes of walking. During the season we are organizing several cultural activities, creative workshops and excursions in our region. It gives you the opportunity to Discover Pure & Precious Portugal!

You can rent Mountain Bikes for going out into the beautiful environment, or use one of our hiking tracks around our Quinta. After this trip you can have a cool drink, or one of the local wines at the edge of our swimming pool.

Swimming pool
Our heated saltwater pool is situated on the highest ground of our property. The sun is shining here all day long. Because of the excellent heating system you can enjoy the pool almost all year. A large part of the terrace is behind a wall, which gives you more privacy. An other part has enough trees, which give you sunshade. On a sun bed besides the pool you’ll get the real holiday spirit.

Apartment
Casa Cultural is situated at the front of the quinta. A magnificent few on 4 large oaks and the canastro (a place in which corn is stacked and dried) . The apartment has it’s own entrance and terrace at the south east. A lovely quiet place to stay.
When you enter through the beautiful front door you notice the classy interior. At the comfortable apartment we let the old details as authentic as could be. There’s a rustic wooden floor and beautiful wooden shades to cover the windows.

Supérior room
Through the authentic staircase you get on the first floor and will find, besides our 3 other rooms, our suite. With a beautiful view on Lamas and the Serra. If you want to have a romantic stay at our quinta, this is the room for you. It is a very comfortable, wide room. The theme and name of this suite is Sala da Dança. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, a bath, toilet and sink. Besides 2 king size single beds there’s a bunk bed and therefore also suitable for families. The suite breathes out the atmosphere of the romance of dance by using subtle details.

Double rooms
On the first floor you’ll find also the double bedrooms. They are all three equipped with their own bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. In each room there are two comfortable single beds. The light rooms are tastefully decorated. It is lovely to sleep in a room with subtle details in which you find each different theme of the room. These themes gives the room its name. You can choose of Pintura, Escultura and Teatro.

The old kitchen
In the morning we make you a breakfast and serve this in the old breakfast kitchen or outside on the terrace in the lovely morning sun. Whenever you feel like it, we make you a lunch basket to take out on your hike through the most beautiful nature or authentic villages.

Living room
In our cosy living room you can relax, enjoy our television or read one of the many books.
It is also possible to relive the day and make plans for tomorrow enjoying a good glass of Portuguese wine. We also provide internet.
