Guesthouse Salir

Guesthouse Salir is situated one hour north of Lisbon on the Costa de Prata (Silvercoast) near Sao Martinho do Porto and within walking distance to its unique bay.

Our property has an annexe, consisting of two double rooms and a well-equipped and comfortable kitchen. There are two more charming double rooms in the loft. All rooms are en suite. Our terrace offers you plenty of sun and privacy, plus a small pool.

We serve a buffet-style breakfast with as much local produce as possible.

There is plenty to do, cycling, surfing, golfing, walking or bowling for the active.
Visit the pretty medieval village of Obidos, Alcobaca monastery, the Convent of the Order of Christ in Tomar, to name but a few.

Only minutes away you find the charming town of Caldas da Rainha with plenty of shops and a daily fruit and vegetable market. Caldas has several art museums, including one devoted to local 19th century potter Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro. Right next to it there is a factory shop with some unusual pieces.

A must! Try some of the delicious pastries in one of the many cafés, dangerously addictive!
Or you might just spend a day at one of the beaches or relax on our terrace.

Eating out in Portugal is still very affordable.
Being by the coast, you have to try some of the seafood, simply cooked and always so fresh!
Portugal also produces very good wines, again at prices that won't ruin you.

Anyway, there are plenty of restaurants in the area, with a very good chicken place right here in Salir. If the owner has been out fishing you will also have the tastiest grilled fish on the menu.
