Boa Vista

This is a traditional, rural stone house which has been carefully restored, incorporating original features. The house is in a small village on the mountainside with stunning views on all sides. Hence the name: Boa Vista is Beautiful View in Portuguese.

Coming to Taião has often been compared to stepping back in time to a world where life is lived at a more relaxed pace. It is very tranquil, an ideal environment in which to recharge your batteries.

We offer a plunge pool where can you cool off after a day's sightseeing and will be delighted to suggest things to do and places not to be missed. We love this area and hope that you will too.

The accommodation that we offer is a double bedroom with ensuite shower room and adjoining dressing room.

There are unlimited opportunities for walking and bird-watching but, at the same time you are within easy access of Valença and its fortified centre and a mere 6km from the Spanish city of Tui and its stunning cathedral. The fabulous sandy beaches of the Costa Verde are only 30 minutes drive away. 2 hours drive north will take you to the historic splendour of Santiago de Compostela, and less than 2 hours drive south will bring you to Porto, a city steeped in history and offering the opportunity to experience the delights of the famous port wine warehouses.

There are a variety of activities available nearby on the Rio Minho as well as horse riding and bicycles for hire at centres nearby. If surfing is your thing then the Atlantic coast offers several good surfing beaches within 30 to 40 minutes drive.
