Daintree Valley Haven
Daintree Valley Haven is a tropical retreat offering three air-conditioned self-contained bed and breakfast cabins on a lovely secluded 30 acre property in the Daintree River valley, surrounded by Daintree National Park.
It is the perfect hideaway accommodation for couples, birdwatchers, honeymooners and wildlife enthusiasts or for relaxing for a while during a busy holiday schedule. Total peace and tranquility yet within easy driving distance of Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge, Port Douglas and the Great Barrier Reef.
Eight kilometres beyond Daintree Village, at the end of a scenic valley trail lies this peaceful haven, alive with birds and butterflies and filled with tropical gardens, rainforest, tropical fruit trees and easy walking tracks. You may spot a wallaby or a bandicoot and if you are really lucky perhaps a shy platypus.
Each cabin is in a private spot overlooking a wetlands-dam and rainforest. No passing traffic, TVs or radios - and your mobile phone will only work in Daintree Village, 8km away. The only sound you will hear will be bird calls!
A daily breakfast basket is supplied and includes a platter of home-grown tropical fruits and locally-grown coffee and tea. Bring your own supplies and dine at home in you cabin or on the barbeque in the historic old open shed - perhaps have a dip in the jacuzzi while your barbeque cooks! Self-cook meals and drinks are also available. Or enjoy some local tucker at one of several restaurants near Daintree Village.
Your resident hosts are always available to help with local information, and bookings if necessary, but will always respect your privacy.
